As of March 23, 2026, Dnipropetrovsk, Kharkiv, Sumy, Mykolaiv, and Kirovohrad regions are experiencing significant power outages caused by enemy strikes on energy infrastructure. Ukrenergo, the national energy company, confirmed these developments on its Facebook page.

The reported outages are a result of both drone attacks and artillery fire targeting critical energy facilities in frontline areas. Emergency restoration work is currently underway wherever security conditions allow.

Crews are working diligently to restore power to affected consumers as quickly as possible. As a precautionary measure, power restrictions will be enacted across all regions of Ukraine today from 17:00 to 22:00.

These measures will affect industry and all categories of consumers and are aimed at managing the energy supply effectively in light of escalating consumption. Consumption data as of 09:30 Monday shows a 1.4% decrease compared to the previous working day, attributed to favorable weather conditions in most regions.

Clear skies enable the efficient operation of residential solar power systems, reducing dependence on the grid. The peak daily consumption was recorded on the evening of March 22, matching the level seen on the previous Sunday.

Ukrenergo has urged consumers to manage their electricity use wisely. With current weather conditions favoring solar energy, it is recommended to shift heavy usage to the hours of 11:00 to 15:00.

The operator advises against using multiple high-power electrical devices during peak times between 17:00 and 22:00 to alleviate pressure on the energy system. Earlier reports indicated the arrival of energy equipment from the IAEA to Mykolaivoblenergo, aimed at helping to recover the energy system following ongoing Russian attacks.

The situation remains critical as efforts continue to stabilize energy supply across the nation amidst the ongoing conflict.
