In the early hours of March 14, units of the Ukrainian Deep Strike special operations forces employed long-range drones to target and destroy an operational-tactical Iskander missile launcher based in temporarily occupied Crimea. According to the Special Operations Forces (SSO) press service, one launcher was eliminated near the village of Vyshneve, located in the southern region occupied by Russia.

Reports indicate that the launcher was camouflaged in a wooded area after being moved from its original location and was armed at the time of the strike. Multiple drones successfully engaged the target, resulting in a secondary explosion from the missile's munitions.

Additionally, the SSO confirmed that they also discovered and struck a storage site for Iskander launchers in the settlement of Kurortne within Crimea, thanks to prior intelligence gathered from local resistance efforts. This coordinated attack underscores the effectiveness of Ukraine's intelligence capabilities and the precision of its drone operations.

On the same night, Russia launched a substantial combined assault involving 498 aerial targets, including unmanned aerial vehicles (UAVs) and missiles, aimed at Ukraine's defenses. However, the Ukrainian armed forces successfully intercepted all cruise missiles and a substantial portion of the ballistic projectiles, as well as attacking drones, demonstrating the robustness of Ukraine's air defense systems.

Nonetheless, six missiles and 28 combat drones did manage to strike 11 locations within Ukraine, with debris falling in seven areas, showcasing the persistent threat posed by Russian forces. The SSO's achievements in targeting missile launchers are particularly critical in the ongoing conflict, as these systems represent a direct danger to Ukrainian territory and civilians.

The successful strikes are a reaffirmation of the operational resilience and tactical prowess of Ukraine’s military forces, reflecting a continuous effort to diminish the capabilities of Russian forces stationed in occupied regions. As Ukraine remains vigilant, targeted operations like these are vital in countering ongoing threats from the Kremlin's military endeavors.
