Ukrainian Forces Clear Russian Troops from Zaporizhzhia

A unit of the Main Intelligence Directorate of the Ministry of Defense of Ukraine, known as HUR, executed a clearance operation in a settlement located in the Zaporizhzhia region. This operation, attributed to the specialized Chimera unit of HUR's Timur special forces, was disclosed via a post on their Facebook page.

The operation commenced after intelligence indicated that Russian infantry had established positions within residential buildings, taking advantage of the urban environment to fortify their defenses. In a methodical approach, the Ukrainian forces undertook thorough room-to-room clearing procedures.

This included close-quarters combat, which resulted in the elimination of multiple enemy combatants. Survivors from the operation have reportedly been captured and are slated to be incorporated into the exchange pool for future swaps involving Ukrainian defenders.

The successful clearance not only disrupts enemy operations but also aims to enhance safety for civilians in the area if they return.
