The Ukrainian Ministry of Defense reported that the military has acquired 500,000 items, including FPV drones, ground robotic complexes, and various types of UAVs, through the DOT-Chain Defence initiative. This sophisticated IT system, launched within the last year, is designed to enhance supply efficiency for combat brigades.

Its introduction comes at a critical time, ensuring that the military can procure specific equipment suited to the immediate needs on the battlefield. The total value of the delivered equipment amounts to approximately 23.3 billion hryvnias.
Current trends indicate a significant operational shift in how supplies are managed, replacing traditional stock purchasing methods. Under Secretary Taras Chmut emphasized the urgency of addressing military needs accurately and quickly, allowing commanders to order exactly what is required for specific tactical scenarios.
The marketplace format of DOT-Chain Defence enables troops to select necessary items using state funds, marking a progressive step in military procurement. The effectiveness of the DOT-Chain Defence system is underscored by its rapid delivery capabilities, with an average supply time from stock to units now reduced to about ten days.
This is a considerable improvement from past procurement practices, which often resulted in delays and misallocated resources. Notably, 199 units of the Ukrainian Armed Forces, alongside two National Guard brigades, have utilized the system since its inception.
Popular items distributed include advanced drones such as heavy strike drones and reconnaissance UAVs. The program also comprises elements of the 'Army of Drones Bonus' initiative intended to boost incentives for defense units.
The rapid scale-up of this system demonstrates its potential to meet front-line requirements effectively. As Ukraine continues to adapt its military operations, the DOT-Chain Defence framework represents a significant advancement in ensuring that soldiers receive the right tools needed for success in the ongoing conflict.
