Netherlands Delivers Over 60 Pickup Trucks and Drones to Ukraine

A representative from Ukrinform witnessed the loading of the vehicles onto railway platforms in The Hague, preparing for their journey to Ukraine. Colonel Simon Woud, who leads the Operational Taskforce Ukraine at the Dutch Ministry of Defence, explained that these vehicles were procured from the civilian sector and repainted for military use.

The vehicles aim to enhance the mobility of Ukrainian units operating drones for both strike and interception missions. Woud emphasized the urgency of this supply, highlighting that Ukrainian troops require these resources immediately to continue their operations effectively.

“This is part of a larger package of assistance that we have already provided and will continue to deliver,” Woud noted. He also pointed out that the Dutch are not just supplying weapons but are also enhancing Ukraine's capabilities.

Specifically, he stated that when they send a weapon system, it comes with necessary spare parts, munitions, and translated documentation. Training is also provided as needed. During the shipment event, representatives from three technology companies—Milrem Robotics, High Eye, and Acecore Technologies—were present.

They displayed the equipment purchased by the Dutch Ministry of Defence for the Ukrainian forces, indicating the multifaceted nature of this assistance.
