During an ongoing series of attacks on energy infrastructure across Ukraine, Russian forces targeted an energy facility in Ternopil region. The strike led to power outages affecting residents in certain areas.

Taras Pastukh, head of the Ternopil Regional Military Administration, confirmed the incident via Telegram and noted that energy workers are mobilized to restore power as quickly as possible. Pastukh also informed that during the mass strike, Ukrainian defenders managed to intercept a number of enemy drones.

However, some drones successfully hit energy infrastructure and an administrative building, although no casualties among the residents were reported. Firefighters have since extinguished the resultant blaze.

This attack occurred amid a broader offensive where Russian forces launched a large-scale aerial assault involving hundreds of strike drones and numerous rockets across Ukraine. Just hours before, on the night of March 24, a surge of over 550 enemy drones was detected in Ukrainian airspace, targeting regional centers in western Ukraine, including Lviv and Ivano-Frankivsk.

In Lviv, drones struck residential buildings and a UNESCO heritage site, causing significant damage, while in Ivano-Frankivsk, two maternity hospitals were hit, resulting in two fatalities and injuries. The current focus of energy restoration efforts in Ternopil is critical, as local authorities work to mitigate the impacts of the attack on residents' daily lives.

As Ukraine continues to face these aggressive military tactics, officials emphasize the importance of resilience and preparedness in maintaining essential services. The situation reflects the ongoing struggles between Ukrainian defenders and Russian aggressors amidst the current conflict, underlining the targeted nature of these military operations on civilian infrastructure.
