The U.S. Department of Defense has officially chosen the F10, a first-person view (FPV) drone manufactured by the Ukrainian company F-Drones, for its Drone Dominance Program.

Initial reports detail the Pentagon's ambition to procure thousands of affordable combat drones, underscoring the growing significance of drone technology in modern warfare. According to a recent report by The New York Times, this program aims to bolster U.S.
military capabilities by integrating cost-effective drone solutions into its operational framework. F-Drones has rapidly established itself as a major player in the Ukrainian defense technology sector since its inception in 2023.
Initially reliant on Chinese components for its drones, the company has successfully localized its production processes within just a year. The transition has included the manufacturing of carbon frames and antennas, significantly reducing dependence on foreign suppliers.
As of 2025, F-Drones reportedly expanded its production to include flight controllers, speed regulators, radio modems, and video transmission systems. The company plans to enhance its technological base further by producing cameras in Europe.
F-Drones' F10 drone is noteworthy due to its operational history in Ukraine, where it has been frequently employed to target Russian heavy armor. Reports indicate that the F10 has become one of the most effective tools in deploying drone-based strikes on the battlefield.
The company's previous drone model, the F7, was named the most effective strike asset in 2025, according to data from the state program 'Army of Drones: Bonus.' The F7 led the rankings for both heavy and light target destruction, underscoring the effectiveness of the technology developed by F-Drones. Ukrainian Defense Drones Tech Corporation's inclusion in the Drone Dominance Program reflects a broader strategic alliance in defense innovations between Ukraine and the United States.
The Pentagon's selection of F-Drones for this program not only enhances the capabilities of the U.S. military but also acknowledges the remarkable advancements made within the Ukrainian defense sector.
This partnership may pave the way for further military collaborations in advanced technology, especially in drone warfare. This development is particularly significant given the ongoing conflict in Ukraine, where drone operations have played a pivotal role.
The ability of Ukrainian companies to produce competitive military technology could influence the balance of power in future engagements. With the U.S.
now looking to incorporate these innovations, the ramifications of such partnerships extend beyond simple supply contracts, potentially impacting future military tactics and strategies.
