Ukrainian Associations Participate in European Fair in Strasbourg

Olga Demydas, a member of the Tournesol association, shared that their mission involves promoting and integrating Ukrainian culture in France. They recently hosted a screening of the film "Well, Mom" with French subtitles, drawing a significant French audience and positive feedback.

Catherine Trotmann, the new mayor of Strasbourg and president of the Eurométropole, visited the stalls and expressed her support for the participants. Ukrainian associations were accompanied by Georgian and Moldovan groups, all advocating for their cultures and providing support to Ukrainian refugees.

Maria Susla from Women 4 Ukraine emphasized their effort to inform people about Ukraine’s culture, traditions, and cuisine to build solidarity beyond the context of war. Tristan Boursico, president of the European Movement in Alsace, highlighted the importance of supporting Ukrainians, asserting that it is essential for peace and freedom in Europe.

He stated, "We must stand alongside them because they are fighting for our freedom and the European values we all aspire to." Guests at the fair also engaged in contests and quizzes to learn more about Europe’s cultural diversity.
