The drone assault launched by Russia utilized various types of unmanned aerial vehicles, including Shahed, Gerbera, and Italmas. The Ukrainian Air Force reported that the attack commenced around 6:00 PM on March 15 and continued into the early hours of March 16.

Multiple regions across Ukraine faced threats from the skies, with Odesa, Zaporizhzhia, and notably the Kyiv region among the primary targets.
