Ukrainian military forces reported that between 6:00 PM on April 4 and 8:00 AM on April 5, 2026, Russia launched an attack involving 93 drones of various types targeting Ukraine. According to the Air Forces of Ukraine, 76 of these drones were successfully neutralized by the country's air defense systems.

The attack primarily featured around 60 drones of the Shahed model, a type commonly deployed by Russian forces. The launches originated from several locations including the Russian cities of Bryansk, Kursk, Orel, Millerovo, and Primorsko-Akhtarsk, as well as the temporarily occupied village of Hvardiske in Crimea.
In responding to the drone assault, various military resources were activated, including aircraft, anti-aircraft missile units, electronic warfare units, and mobile fire groups. Military personnel reported that drone interceptions occurred across northern, southern, and eastern Ukraine.
