Ukrainian Air Defense Destroys 98 Drones Amid Attacks

Since the evening of March 7, Ukrainian Air Defense units have been engaged in a rigorous defense against a Russian aerial assault that included a mix of Shahed, Gerbera, and Italmas drones. The attack initiated at approximately 7 p.m. involved drones originating from several key locations, including the Bryansk and Kursk regions of Russia, as well as the temporarily occupied territory of Crimea. According to reports from the Ukrainian Air Force Command, the drones targeted 11 different locations across the country. Early assessments reveal that while 98 drones were destroyed, two Iskander-M ballistic missiles successfully struck their intended targets, which resulted in considerable damage, including a fire that broke out in Kryvyi Rih.
