Ukraine Neutralizes 117 of 126 Russian Drones in Recent Attacks

The Russian military launched a series of attacks on Ukraine using a variety of aerial drones and a ballistic missile starting at 18:00 on March 12. Among the drones deployed were Shahed-model drones, Gerbera, and Italmas types.

Launch sites included multiple regions in Russia, such as Oryol, Bryansk, Kursk, Millerovo, and Primorsko-Akhtarsk, Approximately 80 of the total drone targets were reported as Shahed-type drones. The operation reflected the ongoing conflict dynamics and highlighted the persistent threat posed by Russian aerial assaults.

Ukrainian air defense units, comprising aviation, anti-aircraft missile systems, electronic warfare capabilities, unmanned systems, and mobile fire groups, were crucial in intercepting these attacks. Air raid alerts were issued, and explosions were recorded in the Dniprovskyi district of the Dnipro region during the attacks.
