The Chipa system is a specialized net-launching apparatus aimed at disrupting the operational capabilities of FPV drones. This device employs a three-by-three meter net that is deployed mid-air, entangling the drone's propellers and causing it to lose lift before it can carry out any attack.

With an effective intercept distance of approximately 25 meters, operators can quickly direct it towards an approaching drone and launch the net with minimal delay. BlueBird Tech emphasizes that the system is designed for rapid deployment; operators can ready the device in just a few seconds, a critical feature when responding to immediate threats.

One of the main advantages of the Chipa system is its mechanical operation. Unlike traditional firearms or electronic countermeasure devices, it does not rely on radio signals or emit electronic interference, making it stealthier on the battlefield.

This aspect is particularly crucial as it helps operators maintain their covert position, reducing vulnerability to counterattacks. Additionally, the net-based approach minimizes the risk of shrapnel injuries that can occur with gunfire, offering a more controlled neutralization of hostile drones.
