Swedish Lawmaker Warns of Increased Russian Hybrid Activity

The Swedish Security Service suspects this structure may serve as a platform for gathering intelligence and engaging in hostile activities, particularly since the airport has become a strategic military hub post-NATO entry in 2024.

The municipality of Västerås has approached the government about forcibly purchasing the church due to its ties with the Russian state and its proximity to a key logistical site for Sweden's total defense system.
