The production showcased the life of Shevchenko, one of Ukraine's most prominent cultural figures. Organized by the Community of Ukrainians in Lebanon, the play presented a unique approach, having five different actors portray Shevchenko at various stages of his life, from childhood to his later years as a sage.

This artistic representation allowed attendees to connect with Shevchenko's inner strength and unyielding belief in freedom through powerful word, music, and stagecraft. The script was authored by Iryna Melnyk, while the event was realized through collaboration among the Ukrainians in Lebanon.
The cast included actors such as David Sleyman, Mykola Melnyk, Dmytro Budovyi, Andrii Khomenko, and Oleksandr Ovcharov. Additionally, members of the diaspora contributed performances portraying characters important to Shevchenko's life, including his mother, sisters, and friends.
Organizers emphasized the significance of Shevchenko's legacy within the Lebanese context. Lebanon, like Ukraine, has faced its share of struggles for dignity and land rights.
The words of Shevchenko resonate deeply in a nation that understands the profound cost of fighting for freedom. The Community of Ukrainians in Lebanon highlighted that Shevchenko's poetry serves as a bridge between the two nations, symbolizing mutual respect, shared history, and hope.
Ceremonies marking Shevchenkivski Days also took place in a nearby park at the Ukrainian Embassy, near a statue of Taras Shevchenko sculpted by renowned Lebanese artist Pierre Karam. This gathering further underscored the cultural ties reinforced by the shared appreciation for Shevchenko's literary contributions, helping to bring both communities together in celebration of heritage and resilience.
The theater performance and accompanying events fostered an environment where cultural exchange thrived amidst the backdrop of shared struggles for dignity and freedom. Attendees expressed their gratitude for the opportunity to reflect on historical and contemporary issues through the lens of Shevchenko’s life and writings, further solidifying the cultural connection between Ukrainians and Lebanese citizens.
