Russian Forces Escalate with 42 Attacks in Pokrovsk Sector

The General Staff of the Armed Forces of Ukraine reported 42 attacks by Russian forces against Ukrainian defenders today, with intense fighting primarily in the Pokrovsk sector. Russian troops are actively working to push Ukrainian forces from key positions in this strategic area. The operational report indicated that assaults extended beyond the Pokrovsk sector, impacting Northern Slobozhanshchyna and the Kursk region. A total of 68 strikes were recorded, which included multiple rocket system assaults and air support. Notably, Russian aircraft deployed guided bombs, marking a significant escalation in their aerial campaign. In the Pokrovsk sector alone, Russian forces made 13 attempts to breach defenses, especially around Novyi Donbas, Rodynske, and Novooleksandrivka. The intensity of the fighting in these areas underscores the seriousness of the ongoing conflict. Russian military activities were also seen in Kramatorsk and Sloviansk, where Ukrainian resilience remains strong.
