Zelensky Warns Middle East Conflict Could Strain Ukraine's Air Defense

While he acknowledged the support received from various partners, including those from Europe acquiring armaments from the U.S., he pointed out that these current provisions are insufficient. "We are very grateful to partners who provided weapons, but it's not enough," he stated, highlighting Ukraine's ongoing need for air defense capabilities to counter Russian aggression.

The president articulated a looming issue wherein military engagements in the Middle East may exacerbate Ukraine's weapon supply challenges. "There is a problem with shortages of missiles not caused by the war in the Middle East, but this conflict will impact our access to more missiles in the future," he commented.

As a result, Zelensky urged international stakeholders to keep their commitment to providing Ukraine with necessary military resources. Furthermore, he expressed concern over potential easing of sanctions against Russia by the United States, calling it a "significant risk" not only for Ukraine but also for global security.
