Zelensky Clarifies Ukraine's Role in Middle East Support

During a recent press briefing, President Volodymyr Zelensky confirmed that Ukrainian teams dispatched to the Middle East are not involved in any military engagements, particularly with respect to Iran. He clarified that their mission is purely advisory, focusing on providing expertise related to defense against Iranian drones, specifically the Shahed model.

Zelensky noted that the teams consist of dozens of professionals, asserting that this initiative is a significant step toward structured international cooperation in security matters. Zelensky mentioned that three teams of experts have already been deployed.

In early March, Zelensky revealed that Ukraine had received 11 requests for security support from various countries, including European states and the United States, specifically targeting the Iranian Shahed drones.
