The Ukrainian delegation, which includes Secretary of the National Security and Defense Council Rustem Umerov and Head of the Office of the President Kyrylo Budanov, is meeting with U.S. officials to discuss critical security issues.

Accompanying them are First Deputy Head of the Office of the President Serhii Kyslytsia and Chairman of the Servant of the People parliamentary faction Davyd Arakhamia. The meetings will facilitate discussions about air defense strategies and attempts to end Russia's ongoing war against Ukraine.
On the U.S. side, the discussions are led by White House Special Envoy Steve Witkoff alongside Jared Kushner, former President Donald Trump’s son-in-law.
This bilateral dialogue aims to strengthen the partnership between Ukraine and the United States, focusing particularly on security guarantees and potential agreements regarding military equipment. Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelensky indicated that the Miami talks will pave the way for upcoming trilateral negotiations.
Topics will include sanctions against Russia and the framework for reconstruction efforts once the conflict subsides. One of the significant agenda items might also be an agreement related to drone production between Ukraine and the U.S.
The outcomes of these discussions are critical given the shifting dynamics of the conflict and the need for Ukraine to enhance its defense capabilities. The U.S.
continues to play a pivotal role in supporting Ukraine amid escalating hostilities. The presence of high-profile representatives underlines the urgency of the situation and the importance of international collaboration in addressing security challenges.
The meetings in Miami reflect a broader strategic dialogue ongoing since the beginning of the war, with Ukraine seeking to solidify its standing and support on the international stage. The decision to hold these discussions in the U.S.
highlights the American commitment to play a key role in Europe's security architecture. As the conflict persists, the implications of the talks in Miami will likely resonate beyond immediate military considerations, potentially shaping future geopolitical alignments as well.
