Ukraine Budget Revenue Reaches ₴1.36 Trillion in Five Months

According to the Ministry of Finance, Ukraine's state budget revenue for the first five months of 2026 reached approximately ₴1.36 trillion. The report emphasizes the significance of international grant assistance, which accounted for nearly 249.9 billion UAH during this period.

The finance ministry disclosed that the primary contributors to the budget included enterprise profit tax at 68.6 billion UAH, VAT from imported goods at 53.1 billion UAH, and personal income tax along with the military tax totaling 36.7 billion UAH. Other notable contributions were: - Excise tax at 23 billion UAH - VAT from domestically produced goods at 20.6 billion UAH (with 42.6 billion UAH collected and 22 billion UAH refunded) - Dividends and net profit parts bringing in 6.5 billion UAH - Import and export duties accounting for 5 billion UAH - Rent payments for resource extraction reaching 2.7 billion UAH Additionally, the National Bank of Ukraine transferred 73.1 billion UAH of its profit to the state budget in May 2026.

The international aid received also played a critical role in bolstering the budget. The grants amounted to 249.9 billion UAH, with the National Bank's contributions in April and May totaling 146.1 billion UAH.

The overall tax and other revenues for January through May 2026 amounted to 1.8 trillion UAH, while cash expenditures from the state budget reached 2.25 trillion UAH.
