UAE Expert Emphasizes Solidarity with Ukraine Amid Drone Threats

In a recent interview with Ukrinform, Abdulkhaleq Abdulla expressed gratitude towards Ukraine for providing assistance in countering Iranian drones. He stated that Emiratis appreciate the substantial Ukrainian support, which he believes will enhance solidarity between the two nations.

Abdulla highlighted the mutual challenges posed by Iran and Russia, noting, 'We are in the same trench. We have a common enemy.' The expert emphasized Ukraine's successful experience in combating Iranian-made Shahed-136 drones, which have been used extensively by Russia against Ukrainian civilian infrastructure.

These attacks have drawn significant international attention and concern. Abdulla thanked President Volodymyr Zelenskyy and the Ukrainian people for their courageous stance, asserting that this partnership is one that the Emirati citizens will always remember.

Abdulla also addressed the alarming rise of Iranian aggression, which he indicated has shocked Emirati society. Traditionally, the UAE has served as a crucial gateway for Iran to the outside world.

He believes this shift in perception will transform how Iran is viewed in official and societal contexts, stating, 'Iran is now the most dangerous enemy for the UAE and other Gulf Arab states.' This security measure underscores the seriousness with which the UAE is addressing regional threats. On March 12, President Zelenskyy mentioned that Ukrainian specialists are already sharing their expertise in counteracting drones in the Middle East, receiving positive feedback from their partners.
