In a recent announcement via Telegram, Prime Minister Yuliya Svyrydenko revealed that the Cabinet of Ministers is preparing a new set of measures to assist Ukrainian citizens. The support includes a one-time financial assistance payment of 1500 UAH targeted at groups such as pensioners, disabled individuals, low-income families, and internally displaced persons.

The initiative aims to cover nearly 13 million individuals who are considered vulnerable. The funds will be dispensed in April through existing social payment mechanisms, either directly into bank accounts or via Ukrposhta.
This measure aligns with ongoing budget programs managed by the Ministry of Social Policy. Svyrydenko emphasized that these steps are part of broader government efforts to alleviate social pressures on vulnerable populations.
From now until May 1, citizens will receive a 15% cashback on diesel, 10% on gasoline, and 5% on liquefied gas purchases at gas stations. This initiative is designed to mitigate the financial burdens arising from recent fluctuations in the fuel market, particularly linked to the ongoing global supply issues exacerbated by circumstances surrounding Iran.
The new cashback program will operate under the existing 'National Cashback' framework, already utilized by approximately 9.4 million citizens. This dual approach of direct payments alongside fuel subsidies reflects an adaptive strategy by the government in response to economic challenges faced by the populace.
President Volodymyr Zelenskyy previously hinted at additional support mechanisms aimed at pensioners and those receiving social assistance, aiming to cushion the impact of current economic instability. The proposal is part of a broader initiative to strengthen economic resilience and support for the most impacted groups within Ukrainian society, helping to navigate uncertain times ahead due to global market fluctuations.
