Melania Trump Launches Global Education Coalition in Washington

The summit, held on March 24-25, 2026, aims to enhance children's access to education and digital tools while ensuring their protection in online environments. During her opening remarks, Melania Trump emphasized the need for international partnerships in the context of digital safety and education.

'Our shared vision places children above political philosophies, geographical boundaries, and local prejudices. Together, we can expand access to education and technology and equip the next generation with the skills they need to succeed,' she stated.

The discussions at the summit revolved around four key areas: educational technology, the use of artificial intelligence in education, online safety for children, and digital literacy. Leading American technology companies, including OpenAI, Google, Meta, Adobe, Microsoft, and Zoom Communications, participated in the event, contributing their insights on how to best support children's education in the digital age.

The coalition's formation was announced during the UN General Assembly in September 2025, marking this summit as its first major meeting. It gathers leaders' spouses from 45 nations and representatives from 28 tech companies in a collaborative effort to foster youth development through education and technology.
