The drone factory, which is part of Holding LPP, produces unmanned aerial vehicles intended for delivery to Ukraine. This facility works in conjunction with Israeli firm Elbit Systems, specializing in drone technology.

The fire raised urgent concerns within the local community and beyond, particularly regarding the motivations behind the incident. The group calling itself the Earthquake Faction has purportedly claimed responsibility for the blaze, framing it as a protest against the use of Israeli weapons, specifically mentioning their role in conflicts such as those in Gaza.
Despite the severity of the fire, early assessments indicate that drone deliveries to Ukraine have not been disrupted. Some local experts suggest that the incident could be a form of sabotage potentially connected to broader geopolitical tensions, including Russian influence.
Former military intelligence chief Andor Šándor highlighted this unusual act of arson as potentially indicative of foreign intervention or an internal terrorist plot targeting military production. He noted that the group responsible appears to have linked their actions to ongoing conflicts, although the referenced conflicts have not seen active fighting for some time.
Law enforcement agencies are conducting investigations into the incident, focusing on understanding the motives behind the arson and its implications for regional security. The incident underscores the volatile atmosphere surrounding military production facilities in Europe, with various protest movements increasingly targeting companies believed to supply arms and technology to conflict zones.
These actions demonstrate a rising trend of protests against military involvement and arms production, reflecting wider discontent over international conflicts.
