Preliminary arrangements for families have also been made in possible accommodation sites located in Kryvyi Rih and various regions, including Poltava, Kirovohrad, Volyn, Vinnytsia, and Odesa. The reclaiming of these children is part of a larger evacuation effort initiated since June 1, 2025.

To date, more than 178,000 people have been evacuated from frontline areas in Ukraine. Among those, over 23,000 are children, alongside more than 6,000 individuals with limited mobility.

The extensive evacuation efforts address critical safety concerns as conflict zones change dynamically. The implementation of transit centers across Ukraine has facilitated these movements, providing necessary support to evacuees.

Currently, there are fourteen operational transit centers designed to assist individuals fleeing hazardous regions. These centers serve as temporary hubs that help ensure a smoother transition for the displaced individuals, particularly children.

Despite ongoing evacuation initiatives, challenges remain, particularly regarding the reluctance of some parents to leave their homes. This reluctance can complicate the evacuation process, emphasizing the emotional and psychological aspects of displacement amid conflict.

Authorities continue to work on strategies to encourage participation in evacuation protocols, especially for vulnerable groups such as children and those with disabilities. Evacuations remain an essential response mechanism to safeguard the most at-risk populations in the backdrop of continued conflict.

As the situation evolves, concerted efforts are necessary to maintain a safe environment for these families in the face of adversity.
