The intense confrontations marked another challenging day for Ukraine's military as hostilities continue to escalate across several regions. The General Staff revealed that Russian forces conducted 67 airstrikes and deployed 285 guided bombs throughout various locales.
Additionally, the attackers utilized an estimated 9,266 kamikaze drones and launched 3,811 shelling attacks. These assaults were concentrated in key areas, including Dnipropetrovsk, Zaporizhzhia, and Sumy, which experienced significant airstrike activity.
In specific zones, the Russian military targeted numerous populated areas. Airstrikes were reported in Ivanivka, Velykomykhailivka, and Kolomiitsi, leading to concerns over civilian safety.
Reportedly, one of the most impacted locations was Kryvyi Rih, where civilians suffered injuries from the strikes. Ukrainian forces responded robustly, with their aviation and artillery successfully hitting 11 concentrations of personnel and a UAV command post operated by Russian troops.
The northern regions, particularly Northern Slobozhanshchyna and the Kursk area, saw the highest number of shelling attacks, totaling 103 incidents, including five involving multiple rocket launchers. In the Kupiansk sector, Russian forces made four attempts at advancing, while in the Sloviansk sector, seven advances were thwarted by well-coordinated Ukrainian defenses.
In a further grim development, the Kostiantynivka sector experienced 12 attacks from the enemy, emphasizing the relentless pressure that Ukrainian troops face daily. Despite the adversities, Ukraine's Defense Forces managed to repel numerous assaults, demonstrating resilience against ongoing Russian attempts to break defensive lines.
According to military reports, the overall combat losses of Russian troops since the onset of the invasion in February 2022 now stand at approximately 1,288,850 personnel. The continuing conflict shows no sign of abating, as military engagements become increasingly commonplace along the front lines.
